Business settings

Open Settings from the vendor menu to configure the defaults and public choices for your business. Profile and security settings for your own name, email, passkeys, notifications, export, and account recovery live under Your profile.

The Business section stores your business name, one or more vendor categories, phone, website, Instagram handle, operating location, and bio. Celebrant accounts can choose the regional celebrant/officiant term when those words differ. Choose the booking types you offer; the first selected type becomes the default when you create a booking.

Your location, bio, links, and logo can become public if you enable the directory or public availability. Keep them business-facing and opt in deliberately.

Under Payments & invoicing you can connect your own Stripe account, configure tax and whether prices include it, set invoice numbering, add payment instructions, and optionally configure a card surcharge. Check the tax and surcharge rules for your own jurisdiction.

Invoice defaults prefill the booking-fee type and value, number of instalments, notes, and whether the configured card fee is selected. They remain editable on each new invoice and do not rewrite existing invoices.

Choose an available @wedding.computer email handle. Every message you send or receive through it — enquiries, contract requests, appointment reminders — logs automatically onto the relevant contact’s activity timeline, so claiming a handle early keeps that history in one place from day one.

Notification preferences let you choose, per category, whether Wedding Computer emails you when something happens rather than making you check the app. The categories are:

  • New enquiries — a lead lands in your pipeline (from a form, the lead intake API, or an import).
  • Payments received — a couple pays an invoice or booking fee.
  • Failed payments and payment reminders — a card payment didn’t go through, or a scheduled instalment is due.
  • Collaborator activity — someone on a shared wedding workspace makes a change you’d want to know about.
  • Daily digest — a single rollup instead of one email per event, for vendors who’d rather not be interrupted throughout the day.
  • Plan-limit warnings — you’re approaching the Free plan’s active-wedding limit.
  • Referral rewards — your referral converted and you’ve earned a free month.
  • Wedding invites/updates, guest RSVPs, invoices/receipts, and pre-event reminders (48 hours and morning-of) — the couple- and wedding-side events most vendors want to stay on top of without watching the workspace directly.

Turn off the categories you don’t need and keep the ones that would otherwise mean a missed enquiry or a late reply to a bounced payment.

Availability sharing has three modes:

  • Private keeps availability to your account.
  • Public creates a public availability page without exposing client names or event details.
  • AI auto-reply is a Pro option that uses availability in the first response to a new enquiry; it does not create the public calendar page.

You can upload and crop a square logo, choose public-form colours and font, and opt into the wedding.institute directory.

Hiding Wedding Computer branding on public forms (white-labelling) is Pro. With it on, an enquiry, booking, or quote-calculator form reads as entirely your own business’s — no “powered by Wedding Computer” attribution — which matters if you’re sending the link to couples, publishing it on your own website, or embedding it where a third-party logo would look out of place next to your brand. The theme editor (colours, font, logo) and directory opt-in work without that upgrade; only removing the attribution itself is gated.

Email drafting uses the platform’s Cloudflare AI by default, which is shared across vendors and free to use. Adding your own Anthropic API key switches drafting to that key instead. Reasons to bring your own key:

  • Model choice — use the specific Anthropic model you prefer for your drafts, rather than whatever the platform default is.
  • Your own capacity — drafting runs against your account’s own Anthropic usage instead of the platform’s shared default, so frequent drafting isn’t competing with every other vendor drawing on the same pool.

Wedding Computer stores the key as an encrypted vendor secret and shows only that a key is saved, never the value itself. Leave the field empty and save to remove it and fall back to the platform default. Do not reuse a key that has broader permissions than this account needs.

Scoped business calendar and contact connections are managed on Calendar & contacts and are Pro. Each connection can be revoked independently; see the calendar guide before sharing its one-time credentials.

Settings changes require a signed-in vendor session and CSRF protection. Public availability and directory listing are explicit opt-ins. Export is available from the account data screen. Delete account signs you out and starts a 30-day recovery period; signing in during that period restores the account before permanent deletion is scheduled.

General settings and invoice defaults have no separate Pro gate. Pro-only controls are visibly marked, including AI auto-reply, white-labelling, and business calendar/contact connections.
