Events Computer
Events Computer is the non-wedding workspace inside your Wedding Computer account. It is for members who mainly work in weddings but also take on corporate events, parties, conferences, private functions, or other event work.
It is not a separate product, login, subscription, or CRM. It is the same software with a less wedding-specific brand and booking context.
Why Events Computer exists
Section titled “Why Events Computer exists”Wedding Computer was built for the wedding industry and remains the main product. Its language, workflows, and shared workspaces are designed around weddings.
Many wedding businesses also serve clients whose event is not a wedding. Events Computer means those bookings do not have to sit under a wedding-only name, while the business can continue using the same tools and account it already knows.
It gives non-wedding work its own context without turning Wedding Computer into a generic events platform or changing the wedding experience for everyone else.
One account, two booking contexts
Section titled “One account, two booking contexts”Your account is shared. A booking chooses its context when you create it.
| Shared across Wedding Computer and Events Computer | Set by the booking context |
|---|---|
| Your login, business profile, team, contacts, CRM, invoices, and payment setup | The name, logo, domain, and wording used around that booking |
| Your client records and business history | Which dashboard and booking list shows the booking |
Contacts are not assigned to one brand. The same client can have wedding and non-wedding work with you; it is the booking that is created as a Wedding Computer booking or an Events Computer booking.
How to start an Events booking
Section titled “How to start an Events booking”- Open events.computer or use the switcher from Wedding Computer.
- Sign in with the same account you already use. There is no second account to set up.
- The first time you arrive, read the orientation card at the top of the dashboard. It explains what is shared and what stays in the Events context. Dismiss it once you are comfortable.
- Find or add the client, then create the booking from Events Computer. That booking will use the Events Computer context.
- Switch back to Wedding Computer whenever you are working on wedding bookings. They remain separate in their wedding context.
You can run both kinds of work in the same business account without duplicating your client records or your financial setup.
What changes in Events Computer
Section titled “What changes in Events Computer”When you are in Events Computer, the interface uses the Events Computer name, logo, domain, and event-focused wording. The Events dashboard shows Events bookings, while the Wedding Computer dashboard continues to show wedding bookings.
The underlying tools remain familiar: manage enquiries and contacts, keep notes, make bookings, issue invoices, track payments, and organise the work around an event.
Events Computer is a business workspace, not a separate client-facing product. Its purpose is to let your team work with non-wedding clients without putting them inside Wedding Computer branding.
Email in Events Computer
Section titled “Email in Events Computer”Events Computer does not currently provide an @events.computer business inbox or sending address. Use your existing business email for client communication. Your CRM, invoices, payment setup, and booking records remain in the same account.
Choosing the right context
Section titled “Choosing the right context”Use Wedding Computer for work that is a wedding and benefits from the wedding-specific workflow.
Use Events Computer when the booking is not a wedding and you want the interface and brand to reflect that. Choose the context when you create the booking, so its workspace is set up in the right place from the start.
