Audio notes

Audio notes let you send a spoken reply with an email subject and a written note. Sending requires Pro plus the video and audio messaging add-on. The recipient does not need a Wedding Computer account to listen.

  1. Start from a contact with an email address or an incoming email, then choose the audio-note action. You can also open Audio notes to manage drafts and sent notes.
  2. Allow microphone access and record in the browser, or choose an existing audio file.
  3. Listen to the preview. Check the recipient, email subject, and written message.
  4. Wait for the upload to finish, then send the audio note.

Recordings can be up to three minutes. Uploads must be no more than 16 MiB. The app supports common audio formats including MP3, M4A/MP4, WebM, Ogg, WAV, and AAC, subject to validation of the actual file and duration. Renaming an unsupported file does not convert it.

The email contains a private listening link rather than a large audio attachment. Its viewing page is excluded from search engines, but anyone who receives the link may forward it. Put only information intended for the recipient into the recording and written note.

Unsent media drafts are temporary and expire after 25 hours. Return through Audio notes to continue a saved draft before it expires. Uploading or preparing a recording is not the same as sending it.

After a one-off audio note is sent, playback expires after 90 days. The written email record remains in the conversation. Keep essential instructions in the written message as well if the recipient may need them later.

If the app reports Sending, check its status before sending a second copy. If sending fails, return to the prepared draft and retry. If it expired, create a new recording.

  • Microphone blocked: allow microphone access in the browser/device settings, then reload.
  • Browser cannot record: choose an existing audio file.
  • File too large or long: trim or export a smaller supported file and upload it again.
  • Upload interrupted: reopen the draft; if the browser offers a recovered recording, review it before continuing. Browser recovery is not a permanent backup.
  • Subscription required: the business needs the media add-on as well as Pro. Ask the owner to review Plans.
