What AI does in Wedding Computer

Most of Wedding Computer’s AI features are tools for vendors, not for couples. Understanding which is which saves confusion.

Vendor-side AI (you benefit indirectly):

AI email drafting — your vendor writes a reply to your enquiry; the AI drafts a response for them to review and send. You get faster, more informative replies.
AI enquiry auto-reply — if your vendor has set this up, your initial enquiry may receive an automatic reply referencing their availability. This is the vendor’s AI, not yours.
AI import extraction — helps vendors process data; not relevant to couples.
Spam classification — automatically labels inbound vendor email and form submissions. It stores the message or submission first and never uses the verdict to delete it.
Expected-weather note — the vendor view can automatically generate a seasonal note from the wedding location and month before the live forecast window.

Couple-facing AI: requesting a phone-wallpaper export makes a best-effort Cloudflare Workers AI request for a short tagline. The prompt includes the couple names, wedding date, optional location, and ceremony type, and the result can be cached for up to 60 days. The image still exports if tagline generation fails.

Can AI help you write emails to your vendors?

Not directly within Wedding Computer. The AI email drafting tools are in the vendor dashboard, not the couple-facing workspace. For writing emails to vendors, use whatever you’d normally use — your email client, or an AI writing tool you already have access to.

Can AI help you build your wedding timeline?

Not through Wedding Computer directly. There’s no AI tool in the couple-facing workspace that generates a timeline. Your planner or vendors build the run sheet using their tools, and you see the result in your workspace.

If you want help structuring your wedding day, a general AI tool like Claude or ChatGPT works well — describe your ceremony time, location, and key moments and ask for a rough timeline. Bring that to your planner or celebrant as a starting point.

Can AI suggest questions to ask vendors?

No — this isn’t a built-in feature. There’s no AI assistant in the couple-facing workspace that you can have a conversation with or ask for planning advice. For that kind of assistance, a general AI tool like Claude or ChatGPT works well — describe your wedding situation and ask it to suggest questions for a specific vendor type.

Can AI read your private notes?

Vendor-side AI (the MCP server and email drafting tools) operates within the vendor’s account, not yours. Your couple-only notes are not accessible to vendor AI tools. The boundary is clear: the vendor’s AI can only see what the vendor’s account can see, and couple-only notes are outside that scope.

Will AI send messages on your behalf without you approving them?

No AI feature sends a message in your name. A wallpaper tagline runs only when someone requests that export. Vendor-side automatic spam classification and the expected-weather note can process limited enquiry or wedding context without a separate couple action, but they label or summarise information; they do not communicate as you.

Is your wedding data used to train AI?

Wedding Computer does not intentionally use your data to train its own or third-party AI models. A feature sends the relevant context to the configured inference provider to produce its result. Provider processing and retention are governed by the current privacy policy and provider terms; Wedding Computer does not promise that every provider retains nothing.

Can AI find gaps or problems in your timeline?

This is possible through your vendor’s MCP connection (a Pro feature that connects AI assistants to the wedding workspace data), but it’s something your planner or vendor would initiate, not you directly. If your planner uses an AI assistant connected to Wedding Computer, they can ask it to review the timeline for gaps — missing buffer time, overlapping commitments, missing logistics — and act on the findings.

As a couple, you can look at the timeline yourself and note anything that seems off. The timeline is clear and chronological — gaps and tight transitions are usually visible without AI.

Does AI make the wedding feel less chaotic?

Honest answer: the organisation itself is what reduces chaos, not the AI. Having one shared timeline everyone looks at, a single place for vendor contact details, and a live view on the day are the features that reduce the “is anyone else thinking about this?” feeling.
